Pokono Cases! Any experiences? What thickness? What size?

I have a blue acrylic Choosatron case, but I am COVETOUS and ENVIOUS of the LAVISH and HANDSOME wooden cases! Revision 18 and Pokono here I come!

Ooops! So many thickness options! And size options!

I thought I saw a wonderful cherry Choosatron out there (at Geekway to the West in St. Louis a few months ago) . . . but the Pokono thicknesses are all different. I think we’re talking about .118" thickness . . . but the only wood option for that thickness is “hardwood.”

Then it asks which SIZE? Are we looking at P2? P3? Anyone used Pokono? I’m dropping almost as much for the case as a new Spark Core, so I’d like to see if anyone else had experience there.

Thank you!

I ended up trying a P2 sized, .118" thickness acrylic case made from JerryTron’s plans (Revision 18) cut by Pokono.

It turned out great.

Here’s what I used for my order:

Design File: choosatron-laser_opaque_curves-ponoko-r18.eps
Material: Hardboard Gloss both sides
Thickness: 3.0 mm
Sheet Size: P2 - 384.0 mm x 384.0 mm

Here’s how it looks:

I am very pleased with how it turned out! The material is a little dusty so you will want to wipe it down good before you play with it.

Wow! That looks really handsome. Good choices.
